Changing the way society looks at disability<\/strong><\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>2. Giving disabled people a social identity by becoming authors<\/strong><\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>3. Enabling writing to fulfil its therapeutic function<\/strong><\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- Renaissens is a genuine self-publishing house<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- Its authors are paid 10%, as in the major publishing houses.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- All literary genres are accepted (novels, short stories, drama, poetry, personal accounts, etc.).<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- All disabled authors are accepted (blind, partially sighted, deaf, people with reduced mobility, etc.).<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- Each author benefits from personalised support right up to the publication of their work.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- The books are available in bookshops all over France, where anyone can order them.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- Distribution is handled by Sodis, in an environmentally-friendly way, as the publishing house is committed to the \"zero waste\" project, printing books only on demand.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A drawing competition for young people under the age of 20 is organised to design the cover of each book. Participants are made aware of the author's disability. The winner receives a prize of 100 euros and the book is offered to him or her so that he or she can continue the work of raising awareness of disability in his or her circle of friends and family. A partnership has been set up with the Alliances Fran\u00e7aises on 5 continents. This project is part of an intercultural-youth-francophone-disabled approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- The publishing house has 3 collections, all of which have received an ISSN number from the Biblioth\u00e8que nationale de France (BNF):<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Voir Autrement<\/strong> : the imaginary world of people who have never seen<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The words of silence<\/strong> Any book written by a Deaf person, allowing hearing people to discover their world.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Like everyone<\/strong> any writing that is not included in Voir autrement or Les Mots du Silence<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">- Since September 2019, Renaissens has had approval from the State to train a young person in civic service (6 to 9-month contract). The young person on civic service is provided by the Mission Locale Cannes Pays de L\u00e9rins. The publisher divides her time between Cannes and Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, the village of her origins. The publishing house is based in Cannes. The association's bank account is held at the Cr\u00e9dit Agricole in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon. The president lives in Chambon-sur-Lignon.
