A bold concept<\/h2>

Renaissens publishing house offers a fresh perspective about disability by publishing and promoting the writings of blind, visually impaired and deaf authors, as well as people in wheelchairs or suffering from reduced mobility. Experiencing prejudice from birth, adulthood or more recently in life, these people often feel excluded among others, or stigmatized by society. It can lead to loss of identity and reduced self-confidence. This is where Renaissens comes in. Its strategy is to value their writing skills and offer them a real publishing adventure in becoming authors, as well as it allows writing to fulfill its therapeutic function.<\/p>

At their side, a youth representative (child, teenager or young adult) draws the cover of their book. Three to five finalists are selected as part of a drawing competition in which some Alliances Fran\u00e7aises abroad take part \u2013 a way to raise awareness on disability among young people while promoting the French language around the world.<\/p>

In order to ensure permanent visibility within independent bookstores concerned by disabilities, Renaissens has created the concept le\u00a0Circle of Difference<\/a> <\/span>(echoing the Cercle de la Librairie - their union), trademark registered with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI). The idea is to bring independent booksellers to organize a special space to authors from Renaissens, where its entire collection is on permanent display.<\/span> (see bookseller page<\/span>)<\/span><\/a>
