Author's biography

Sandrine Lepetit suffers from Usher syndrome, a condition that removes 70% of her hearing and reduces her field of vision from year to year. Her sight - currently the size of a confetti - enables her to grasp the world in fragments. Images that she cherishes on a daily basis, but which do not prevent her from reading, equipped with a headlamp and a magnifying sheet.
A mother of three, she published an autobiographical story with the same publisher in 2022.

Synopsis

Inspiration took flight... One night, the author dreamt that she was reading her texts on the banks of the Loire and that walkers stopped to listen. The result is a singular, poetic novel, full of striking images and raw, authentic words. Over the course of the readings, a moving complicity develops between these strangers and the narrator.
