THE BEAUTIFUL HORTENSE,

31 rue Vieille du temple, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris.

A talented comedian will read extracts from this breathtaking tale.

A daring bookshop!

A superb bookshop, L'Ecume des Sucs in Yssingeaux (sub-prefecture of the 43 department), has committed to always having a copy of the collection labelled Le Cercle de la Différence. A display case is dedicated to the authors and illustrators (from 20 July to 20 August) and a shelf containing the 16 books in the collection (indicated by an easel displaying the label logo) is regularly restocked. This should inspire other bookshops to make room for our authors too... DIFFERENT, in the sense that they are blind, visually impaired, deaf or have reduced mobility.

SALON CHARIVALIVRES

A big well done to our volunteer Daniel who took the initiative of introducing Renaissens to the Var! A great 3-day book fair! And, most importantly, all our titles were on display.

The show gave our volunteer the opportunity to meet book industry professionals, including the head of Libraires du Sud and an independent distributor.

11 books were sold.
Leading with 3 books News of the passing of time, then come Signence and Not so stupid with 2 books then Irène Danon, Maurice Bougerol, Véronique Gautier and Sandrine Lepetit with 1 book. Well done to all

Les éditions RENAISSENS were lucky enough to take part in the 35th edition of the Mouans-Sartoux International Book Festival (7, 8 and 9 October 2022) and our authors were among the 400 invited.

The covers by our talented illustrators were admired by all. Well done to our authors and illustrators!

The results of the drawing competition - the finalists

To preserve anonymity - names and nationalities - until the final selection, only the age of the candidates is shown (the 5 finalists are girls - the jury had no information about the gender of the authors of the drawings).

The members of the jury are now asked to choose just one drawing from this very fine selection. We will also be asking visitors to the Renaissens stand at the Mouans-Sartoux International Book Festival (7, 8 and 9 October) for their views.

Candidate's age: 12 (1st place)

Candidate's age: 15 (2nd place)

Candidate's age: 16 (3rd place)

Candidate's age: 17 (4th place ex-aequo)

Candidate's age: 14 (joint 4th place)

The final results of the drawing competition are expected in the week of 10 October. That's when we'll be able to discover the next Renaissens cover and the name of the illustrator! That's right, the illustrator, as there are only female finalists.
